In April 2012 a new research project was started to perform "Basic investigations on the immobilisation of long-lived radionuclides by interaction with secondary mineral phases". The joint project involves partners in Germany, Switzerland and Spain and is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

This year's conferences are over and ImmoRad was represented at several important meetings, such as the Goldschmidt conference in Prague and Migration in Santa Fe. Lists of contributions can be found in the Meetings section.
